    Pacific Northwest origins, cooking has always been a celebratory thing with family and friends. Ancestry includes Swedish, Norman French, Scottish, and English.

    My two favorite cookbooks are Cooking Alaskan, and Joy of Cooking. All the extra descriptions by the authors makes these two books so valuable.

    I like to catch my own salmon and trout.

    Favorite Foods

    My favorite plate is an arrangement of Salmon Tartare, Tuna Tartare, Halibut Tartare, and a Timbale of rice with a simple sauce and basil leaf decoration. And as always, a western USA Gewurztraminer or a Rhubarb wine from Homer, Alaska.

    Other favs are seafoods, mediterranean, and Japanese.
