Reviewed Ginger Glazed Salmon
"This was good! I used what I think is apricot preserves (could just be fancy italian apricot jam...), instead of the pineapple. Betcha pineapple is better... but it was good and we liked it. Note for myself is to not lay the sauce on so thick next time. So, this time I cut the recipe in 1/2 for 2 fillets, andnext time could even cut it to 1/4. Than..."

Reviewed Chocolate Chip, Oatmeal, Walnut and Coconut Cookies
"These are great! Different than what we have been making. I made them non-vegan and I think what Robin W says, that they cooked a little faster, is true? So, 12 mins was prob. fine... next time! Thanks!"

Reviewed Kittencal's Low-Fat Oven-Baked Zucchini Sticks
"These were yummy! We cooked only 8 mins, or so, a side and cut them in thick coins. They were nice and crispy and not too soft for us. We thought maybe they could use stly more salt, so for next time. Also, we're going to go for 1/2 moon bite-size when we do them as a snack. Thanks Kittencal!"

Reviewed Gnocchi With Mushroom Sauce
"Hmmm, I don't know, this recipe didn't work for us. I used a mix of mushrooms (that could be the problem), I used an Italian wine, I used light sour cream. We just didn't like it, and didn't finish our meals. It just was very strong of wine and a bit tangy. I also recall not being able to get sour cream in Italy? I think it was my ingredients, defi..."

Reviewed Cauliflower Cheese Soup
"This was great!! I loved the flavor, this will now be my go-to cauli soup recipe. Mine came out uber thick... so I had to water down a bit with milk and broth. BUT, I know that was how I cooked the veggies. I think I let it go on too long and all the broth simmered down, and I think I did the same thing with the cheese sauce. Next time, I'll do it ..."

Reviewed Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
"These are great. I'm going to keep this recipe. I added (didn't have pecans) walnuts and cranberries to make up for pecans. I think (as a note for me) less chocolate chips next time... but I find that in most recipes I've made. So, thanks! Will definitely make again. I think 10-11 mins is best for us."

Hi there!
I am a woman in her mid-30's who never learned to cook...and somehow, I love it!!
Just not so good at it - yet!
I'm also a Dr.TCM, which means Acupuncture and Herbs, so I am into health. But after practicing healing for some time now, I really believe that lots of things are good for you in respectful moderation. So, I am all for chocolate, butter, baked goods and fine wine!
I love food, I happily obsess over recipes, I relax browsing them and collecting them online. Recipezaar has been a super positive experience for me and I really appreciate all you sharing your experience. :o)
I have a sweet husband who is happy to help in the kitchen, but strangely, he never learned to cook either! So, we try plenty, and we are getting better with each meal!!
Anyhoo, thanks everyone for your recipes!!
I would love to be a veggie, but am not quite there yet.
I try to eat meat on a pseudo-limited basis and try to be conscious of where we buy it :)
Learning to like more and more foods, would still pass on Brussel sprouts though...
