    About Me

    I LOVE to create with fresh vegetables and herbs, and I like to grow some of them myself. "Keep it simple," is my motto in the kitchen - the best recipes have very few ingredients (and few dishes to wash!). It's important for children to start their adventures in the kitchen early so I have developed patience for the drips and spills that go with it - the experience is so worth it for baby and for me! We do lots of cooking (indoors and out) when my family gets together - it's the best!

    Favorite Foods

    Fresh greens, cheese, chocolate almond ice cream, crusty bread, seafood, soups, mashed potatoes,  a good steak, fresh picked berries, various ethnic dishes (did I leave out anything??).  I'm famous for my salads, marinara, trifle, and chicken wing dip!  My all time favorite cookbooks are all of the Moosewood Cookbooks by Molly Katzen & Southbeach Cookbook.  Recently I picked up one of Rachel Ray's "kids" cookbook that I am using myself!  I don't go out to restaurants much, but when I do I enjoy almost anything by the water watching a sunset with friends and family!
