I am married and spend my time as a "home manager." [This is the PC way of saying that I'm a homemaker :o)] My daughter is a toddler and a joy most of the time. I'm blessed that she loves vegetables... she will even pick them over carbs!
I have always loved to cook and I like to try new things. It is hard for me to stick to a recipe though... I'm always changing things which is why I chose "Chef Tweaker".
Reviews: I follow the suggestions that are on the stars.
5 Stars = Outstanding!
4 Stars = Loved it
3 Stars = Liked it
2 Stars = OK
1 Star = Didn't Like it
No Star = Posting a comment only (I use this when I've tweaked too much!)
Pet Peeves: Recipe ingredients not written in the order required in the recipe.
I like to cook healthy... Whole grains, vegetables, tofu etc. but my DH was brought up in a family that didn't know that fiber existed. I have been spending our 5 years of marriage trying to get him to eat what I like to cook. He's getting better and maybe I'm getting better at offering him some of his favorites as well. I volunteer at a food bank and get free food from them. I never know what they will have and come home with some strange things. This site has been so helpful because I can type in the different ingredients and come up with something to make.
Cooking Tips:
Some things aren't really recipes but I don't want to forget them...
To soften butter out of the fridge, microwave on full power for 14 seconds.
