"Very tasty. I used about half a pkg. of taco seasoning and it was just right for us. My 9 yr. old daughter and I also mixed shredded cheddar and sour cream to our servings. Yummy. My daughter asked to have this for her school lunch the next day.
I cooked this for 2 hours on high and 3 hours on low. Worked out fine."

"I make a variation of this but make it more into a substantial meal that I usually will have for lunch. To these listed ingredients, I also add unsweetened coconut, almonds, and raisins. Very filling!"

"Really enjoyed this recipe, although I did make some changes. I don't do cool whip since it is made from hydrogenated oil, so followed anothers tip and used 1 cup vanilla yogurt. Did drain the pineapple juice into a bowl and put apple chunks in to prevent oxidation, but did not add to salad. Also i sprinkled the pudding on yogurt and used regul..."

"I also have been making this for years. I always get compliments on this dish when I take it to a potluck. My 13 yr. old DD loves it also."

"I love this recipe and have made it several times. This week I tried something new and only used one can of salt free tomatoes and 1/2 cans of tomato paste. My stomach can't handle spicy food and I'm trying to cut down on salt, (tomato paste is super low in sodium. I also add about a cup of frozen corn and 1/2 - 1 can of refried beans at the en..."

"Have made this 3 times recently. Only slight changes. I use demerara (evaporated cane sugar juice instead of refined white sugar, making these even healthier since demerara has not been stripped of nutrition and is lower glycemic than white sugar. Also doubled the recipe and added 1 scoop of chocolate protein powder. I am now experimenting w..."

"Really, really yummy! I used pure cane sugar and butter only and roasted in my cast iron skillet. Only needed aout 25 min. and they were perfect. Didn't tell my 12 yr. old daughter that it wasn't sweet potato and she ate all of it. She would not have even tried it if I had said the word squash. After, when I told her, she said it was very goo..."

"I agree with Chilicat, thought they tasted like raw cookie dough and they were very sticky. Needed a glass of milk to get it off the roof of my mouth. I also did crush my oreos very fine, so maybe that is the problem. Was planning on putting these on a tray of goodies for my daughter to take to her teacher tomorrow, but will not do that. Sorry..."

"This is a recipe my entire family likes. I especially love the taste the green pepper adds. I may double the amount of it I use next time. As with all Mexican recipes, my daughter and I added a dollop (or two of sour cream to our portion."
