    About Me

    i have been married for 52 (almost 53) years to a wonderful man who loves to eat. We have 3 grown children and 4 grandsons. I have always liked to cook and now that we are retired I have lots of time to experiment. Am know as the 'cookie granny' to our grandsons. I was never a baker until lately, now i'm having great fun with cookies, cakes and pie. I have to share my desserts with family and neighbors (husband doesn't have a sweet tooth, but i do) I love to try new recipes that I find in the newspaper, magazines and on recipezaar. I don't follow them exactly - I like to add/substract ingredients to reflect our tastes.

    Favorite Foods

    I love to make spaghetti sauce. I've been working on my recipe since I was 12, when my mother went to work and I was in charge of dinner every night for 4 of us. I love Italian, Mexican, and comfort foods.
    And i really love a good hotdog now and then.
    I have a large collection of church/organization cookbooks that I use for ideas.
