"I love this recipe! Made it two nights in a row, the second night I added a finely chopped chicken breast to the pan with the onions/garlic. I also substituted one can of Rotel with chiles (drained for the chopped tomato, and stirred in a couple of tablespoons of sour cream. My husband even ate it and he is not a big bean eater. Yumm!"

"I think that I have Favorite Brand Names cookbook too! I made this same recipe a couple of years back when I was on a grilling party kick. My theme for the get-together was semi-Asian-ish, so I used this as an appetizer. It was surprisingly addictive."

"Cooking time is definately off. Needs to be 8-10 minutes depending on oven. Make sure your water is hot but not boiling when you add your buttermilk. Makes way more cookies than recipe states and I used a 2 teaspoon scoop! I also added nearly twice the amount of cocoa called for. My cookies were still not as dark as Paula's but they were good ..."
