"Baked these for a Valentine's Church event. Folks LOVED them. I diced the cherries to get a more even cherry distribution, and reconstituted them in hot fruit juice to keep from losing sweetness. I thought more sweetness was needed, so I added a 1/4 cup of cherry preserves when I added the cherries. Really great taste, but you'll need to add extra..."

"Can't believe I'm the first to review this recipe. We LOVE this recipe. It's an excellent way to use up some of those excess tomatos from the garden at the end of the season. "Loved these beans. I used 1 cup navy beans and 1 cup lima beans, this gave a nice change of pace for baked beans. I also used diced ham instead of the bacon. And, I doubled up on the sauce ingredients. I have made these 3 times now and I find that I needed more cooking time than the 8 hours. It really depends on what you think "add water to cover"..."

"I just made these. I used all vegetable shortening instead of the vegan margarine. I thought the cookies came out a bit flat, but the taste was good. I may need to fiddle with this recipe to get it just to my liking."

"This was really good. I doubled the dressing and used soy mayonaise to make it Vegan. I used a diced bagged coleslaw mix (which was easier to serve and I added pineapple tidbits and Mandrin orange slices. It was a big hit at the family Christmas get together"
