    About Me

I am married to a Cajun man and we have lived in Lafayette, La. for 39 years. The people here are known for their fantastic food. I have learned to cook it from my mother-in- law. I am a recently retired Cosmetologist/teacher/shop owner and also a Gospel Concert promoter. As you can see, I love to be busy and communicate with the public. Our children are all grown now and away from home. We have 2 sons and 1 daughter and 2 grand daughters. I use to hate tin pie plates(personal reasons) but am now over that LOL. My favorite local cookbook is "Talk About Good". It is all Cajun and Creole recipes from this area.

    Favorite Foods

My favorite dish to cook is crawfish etoufee. It is fast, simple and tastes good. I have created a Cajun Cornbread Dressing and will soon post it for others to try. I took an old traditonal recipe and CAJUNIZED it.I have been patronizing this local family owned and operated Chinese restaurant "Chopsticks for 30 plus years. Three generations of our family still eat there.
