"I don't know if I didn't cook the shells long enough (cooked longer than package directions but had 2 different groups of friends try them and they said the same thing "filling is GREAT but the pasta is too dense and overwhelming". "I have never cooked butternut squash but see so much about it so I thouhgt I'd give this recipe a try. My husband and I both enjoyed it but thought it could use a little more heat. "I made these for our Super Bowl party and everyone loved them. A little labor intensive but not bad. I agree with one of the other reviewers that you could fill these with anything. Although I liked these, the chorizo was a little too greasy for me. Next time I think I'll try ground beef and spice it up with some chipotle and chili. "
