    Reviewed Chickpea Curry (Garbanzos)

"I ended up using this as a base recipe for my final result; had other items in the fridge I wanted to use up, plus wanted to have leftovers for lunches later in the week. So I added a diced zucchini, some pre-cooked grilled chicken chunks, a few mushrooms, and some chili paste for some extra heat. Then I included a can of coconut milk because we l..."

Reviewed Crock Pot Super Garlic Chicken Legs

"I placed the chicken legs in a large ziplock with olive oil and minced garlic and gave them a nice coating, then sprinkled the spices on and added the broth. (Added a bit of basil as well.) I cooked it 4 hours on high, then broiled the chicken a few minutes on each side and it was perfect. The aroma it created while cooking was amazing. This is t..."

Reviewed Savory and Spicy Northern Beans (Quick and Easy!)

"My husband and I loved these. I used onion flakes, only because I didn't have a real one already diced up. And I didn't mash the beans at all because I didn't think that consistency would go well with the other items we were having for dinner. I also threw in some toasted slivered almonds, which was great. Would definitely make these again!"

    Reviewed Tex Mex Fusilli

"This was the perfect way to use leftover diced ham. I had already exhausted the other possible dinner options, so decided to give this a try. And so glad I did. My hubby and I agreed that it was missing a little something (but not enough to keep us from looking forward to the leftovers). Maybe something to give it a little more "kick" (and we d..."

    About Me

Newly married and enjoying the role of cook more all the time.  I love learning something new each time I'm in the kitchen.  I'm thankful for the recent extended break I've had from working full time, because it's allowed me to stay home and spend more time improving my culinary skills.

When not at home, my husband and I love to travel, ski, hike, camp, and explore new places together.

    Favorite Foods

I don't know that I have a particular favorite dish to cook, but overall, I really enjoy baking.

Before moving for my husband's new job, I became famous at my old job for my frosted sugar cookies.  They became a regular request for any sort of office gathering.  Interestingly, I had to find a new recipe because I now live at a lower altitude!

My favorite foods? Chocolate chip cookies, rolled sugar cookies, caramel apple pie, homemade granola, sushi, edamame, green beans, garlic bread, Chips and salsa, buffalo wings, chocolate covered strawberries, french silk pie, won ton soup and pretty much anything with noodles.

Oh, and one of my cooking mantras: you can almost NEVER have too much garlic.
