Replied to Roasted Green Beans Recipe : Ree Drummond : Food Network

I meant to add that I used 2 lbs of green beans and four slices of bacon. I think you could get by with way less bacon and watch the amount of olive oil used at the beginning...mine were pretty greasy (which we loved) but I think you could get by using way less bacon. I also cooked mine to death... at 450 degrees for probably close to 35-40 minutes...

I only had time to make the chicken this weekend after seeing the show (and I had all ingrediants on hand just to make the chicken.) Wow! It was wonderful by itself! Loved the smoky flavor! I followed the recipe exactly. I hope to make the entire recipe soon. :)

Simple and brilliant! The chicken gravy I used had a good bit of salt so I'm glad I didn't add any (I did slightly salt and pepper the bone-in chicken I used.) I cooked this for 5-6 hours on high in my crock pot and I think it could cook for 8 hours on low just fine. My son loved this and I loved it since it was so easy and economical!"
