"This is an awesome base recipe. I made several changes to the recipe, but stayed true to the liquid / dry ratio and used the whole grains and honey as indicated. They really did turn out soft and fluffy, not as light as a processed muffin, but certainly not as dense as I expected from a whole wheat muffin."

"I whipped up a batch of these tonight and they were ready in no time! I missed the 2 tablespoons of water, but still needed the full 3 1/2 cups of flour. I used 2 cups white bread flour (no AP on hand and 1 1/2 cups of whole wheat flour. They still turned out nice and light. Just a bit sweet for my taste in a hamburger bun, so I might reduce ..."
