"My "needs ketchup" husband LOVED it!! My changes: 1/2 acorn squash instead of sweet potatoes, 1 large tomato instead of the canned amount, a jalepeno sauted w.the onions, 1tsp cayenne pepper, 1tsp garlic pwd, and 1/2 tsp salt. YUMMERS!! And because my husband has no taste buds, the second time around i added 2 jalepenos, 1/2 T cayenne, 1 1/2 cups ..."
"This was my first time buying/making/eating sprouts. Because I was so reserved about buying more sprouts (due to the popular negative stigma pinned on this poor vegtble) I only bought 5 sprouts. I used 1/2 TB Smart Balance and generously sprinkled garlic powder while the butter foamed, cooked them face down for 10 min and YUM!! To end this, I dash..."
"Wasn't too spicy for us. What I liked about the marinade was that it wasn't runny like others but to make the spice rub uniformly coat the meat I added 1 tb. lemon jz. and 1/2 tb. worcester sauce and I shook the tupperware containing the meat. Other additions/ substitutions: pinch curry pwd., dash margoram, and cilantro instead of parsley. This i..."
"This is definitely something you want to try at least once and it is definitely an eye catcher. My dislikes pertain to the flavors that just didn't blend well w/ each other like the green lime. I'll try this again leaving the green out. (alas no more rainbow..) Thanks for posting, this was an experience for me!!"
"YUMMY!! I pref. my dressing thick so I added an unmeasurable amount of peanut butter. I used creamy fat free Peter Pan. (I wonder how regular CHUNKY Skippy would taste-- MMMM...) I did use rice vinegar (Kame brand) but think I might cut a bit back next time- end product was a wee bit acidic. Rita, thank you for posting a keeper!!"
"Although the meat was very tender, it turned out WAY too vinegary/ acidic and a bit on the salty side for us. I followed the recipe to a T... :( The meat was very tender though!!"
"My "loathes tofu" husband actually liked this. I added 2 hard boiled eggs, celery, cilantro instead of parsley, and curry powder instead of plain turmeric. I ate mine with greens and spinach, he ate his as a sandwich. Thanks so much for posting a keeper!!"
"I found this recipe very versatile as I did not have a few of the ingredients on hand and substituted veggies and added other spices to it. I used 2.5 lb of london broil and followed the cooking times to a T- came out perfect!!! Thankyou ever so much for a keeper!! (This was my first time. making beef stew.)"
"I used 1TB paprika and 1TB red hot chilli powder, and 1/2 TSP salt, no onion pwd. Instead of dipping in butter, to cut calories, I sprayed PAM on both sides then dipped into the spice mix. Wonderful flavor. A bit too hot for me but DH who has no tastes buds LOVED it."
"We LOVE spicy food- my husband DEVOURED it!! The rice and the chicken complimented each other VERY well- thx for posting!! My changes: I had no red bell peppers, I used 1/2 tsp both hot paprika AND 1/2 mild paprika, I did not remove the seeds from the jalepeno, I used a vidallia onion instead (what I had on hand), and jasmine rice. The chicken was..."
