I love Food.com because it's so international. Being Chinese Malaysian, I can finally make dishes that I grew up on but never got the chance to learn. This site is amazing!
About me, I learned to cook when I was 19, when I moved out from my hometown in Edmonton to Ottawa. I will be the first to admit, I had a very sheltered life with grandmothers from both sides cooking for us everyday. After a month of ramen noodles and Kraft Dinner, my roommate took pity on me and taught me the basics of good cooking. And thus, Sunday Scratch Day started. I can remember my first dish.. pad thai.. and it rocked. Thai led to Italian to French, Cantonese, and Malaysian.
Today I'm a happy mom of one who hopes someday my guy will inherit the love of cooking as much as his mother.
I'm Chinese Malaysian so I love the majority of dishes from South East Asia.
Asian: Malaysian curry puffs, pad thai, vietnamese salad rolls, and kway tuow
European: Risotto, prawn pesto penne. I love ravioli but lack the guts to create it myself :)!! Anything with pesto..

"The inspiration for this recipe is from Starbucks as they use to have the best dark chocolate raspberry cookies which, unfortunately, they no longer offer. This is my version of a dark chocolate raspberry fix. Plus only good things can happen when your batter tastes like ganache!"
