"I cut this recipe in half and it still made a lot of soup. I made as is with the exception of adding tomato sauce along with the canned tomatoes because I like my soup to have more of a tomato base. I used seasoned salt instead of regular salt and did not use the optional sugar in the recipe. I really like this soup. It had a lot of flavor. I would..."

I live just outside of Chicago with my Husband of 34yrs. I am a grandma of five and work as a dental receptionist. Baking is my passion and bake every week. I have over 150 cookbooks and my favorite is Pillsbury's "The Complete Book of "Bakeing". I love to relax with a new cookbook, but usually go to the internet when I looking for a specific type of recipe and I'm in a hurry.
I love Southern cooking. I would prefer to bake than to cook. My husband does most the cooking, but I do all the baking and I'm best know for my cinnamon rolls. When eating out my husband and I lean toward Polish or German cooking, which we grew up on and rarely make. We both learned to can from our mothers and still can today. People love our Salsa even though we cheat and us "Mrs. Wage's Salsa Mix". The entire line of Mrs. Wage's is wonderful!
