    Reviewed Orange Coconut Date Squares
    Handle
     |  By Elly in Canada

"These are so very easy to make. Perfect for this busy time of year. I baked them in a glass pan, so lowered the temperature to 325*. It took an additional 15 minutes to set completely, but that's not a problem. I did find them a tad on the sweet side, so next time I'll cut them into smaller squares. Thanks Elly for the wonderful recipe."

"I've never had a lot of success with 'no bake' granola bars...until now. This is a terrific recipe. So easy and quick to make. I didn't have everything specified in the recipe, but was able to substitute nicely. That's the beauty of a recipe like this. I didn't have enough craisins, so added some diced dates, pecans in place of the almonds, a..."

"Chocolate Lovers rejoice. This is a terrific cookie. I couldn't get the chips called for in the recipe, so used regular chocolate mint chips. I would have loved to have a touch of mint green in the cookie. If you under bake them slightly, they are like chewy brownies. Very yummy. Thanks for posting Kerena."

"Excellent ribs. I've been making these for a while now (keep forgetting to review and they never fail to please. Couldn't be easier to make either. Very tender and tasty. Sometimes I slice onions and add to the foil packet. I love easy and I love tasty. This recipe is both."

"Great flavour. I used all drumsticks, and set them in the fridge to marinade early in the morning. We don't generally eat until late, so they sat, soaking up all that goodness for a good 12 hours. Baked up like a dream (I'm no good at broiling meat and were moist and tasty. I did make the sauce as directed, but neither of us cared for it. Ma..."

"Of all the recipes I tried, this was my most favourite. What a wonderful twist to pasta salad. I assembled everything in the morning (except the avocado, and set it in the fridge to chill until later in the afternoon. My avocado was leaning to overripe, so didn't want to mix it into the salad for fear it would get mushed. So I just added it ..."

"This is a very colourful and festive looking slaw. 'Party' certainly comes to mind, and it's easy to make too. : I found the purple cabbage was a little strong and overpowered the crab, I think next time I'll increase the crab and reduce the purple cabbage. I will also use less dressing next time. That's a personal preference. Most prefer a ..."

"I really loved this salad. I did add extra crab, simply because I like it so much. The crispiness of the snow peas was a real bonus, and really enjoyed the sweetness of the pineapple. Great use of the contest ingredients too. For sure I'll be making this one again. Good luck in the contest, and thank you for you contribution to the RSC Potion..."

"I really loved this recipe. I cut it in half, and it made 2 very generous portions. Served it instead of potatoes with our leftover turkey dinner. The garlic, shallots and horseradish cream went perfectly with the sweet parsnips. Parsnips isn't something I make very often, but with this recipe there is no excuse not to. Good luck, and thanks ..."

     |  By Robin Batterson

"We quite enjoyed this for supper tonight. The cooking time was perfect, the meat was tender and tasty. I think the 'liquid' portion could be reduced by half, as it was too much for my 6 chicken legs. I had to keep shaking it to keep the blend from separating. I opted not to sprinkle extra seasoning on the chicken before baking, but wish now th..."
