"I followed the same thing as some of the previous reviewers, and used the wax paper/freeze 10 minutes thing, and it worked great. I made a batch of these, and my family/friends loved them. I've now got 5 more batches going, to make gingerbread men for my students at school. These things are awesome!"
"Pretty good. It kind of tastes like a really big biscuit, but for a quick bread, it'll serve my devious purposes nicely. :) Thanks for the recipe."
"Great! If you don't have Nesquik powder or the like, 1/3 C cocoa powder, 2/3 C sugar or Splenda, pinch of salt. I used sugar free vanilla caramel creamer my mom had bought a while back and never used. This is so much better than the store bought mixes! Thanks for posting."
"It's great! I was looking for some kind of cake to make for my mom's birthday and this one sounded delicious. I made it with Easy Mousse Cake Filling - Any Flavor (215952) and I frosted it with buttermilk and put sugared rose petals on it. The rose petals existed simply to give me a new toy to play with, but they looked kind of cute too. :) Great ..."
"This stuff worked great! I used cheesecake pudding and put it on Deep Dark Chocolate Cake (12488) and put buttercream frosting on top of the whole thing. Delicious on all counts! I'm definitely saving this recipe for future use."
"Delicious! I don't eat English muffins, and I loved these. They rose so much. Word to the wise - make sure you give them plenty of space between each other when they are rising. I had to cook them for a bit more than 5 minutes on either side, but we have a propane stove so I put the fire as low as it went to make sure they didn't burn. It made 20 ..."
"This bread was perfect! It made 2 nice moist loaves that are perfect for breakfast. My brother, who insists on putting butter or cream cheese on everything ate the bread as is, which is saying something. Even though I don't eat lemon poppy seed stuff, I made this for the family, and I loved it as much as they did! Great recipe."
"Great recipe. We ate one loaf for breakfast, and the other one for dessert with dinner that night. It could be a bit more moist for me, but everybody else loved it. Thanks! Also love the instructions for freezing."
"This was a really good recipe. I did it the first time with the basil and rosemary, and for some stupid reason squeezed out the liquid from the zucchini. I don't know why, I guess it was because I had been used to every recipe calling for squeezed out zucchini. It didn't rise as much, but tasted good. Then the second time I made it was with cinnam..."
"I really like the batter and cake of this bread, but the plums didn't do so hot for me. It could be because the plums in our yard just weren't meant to be used in cakes/breads. Ah well. I will definetly be trying this again with blackberries or strawberries. The plums just come out too tart for me. My brother loves it though. Must be me."
