    Reviewed Smoked Salmon Party Loaf

     |  By Normaone

"I made this for a dinner party, served with pumpernickel rounds, and garnished it with extra flaked smoked salmon. I tested it out on my co-workers, as we are all into good food and everyone liked it. Here are some of my observations: 1I only used about 3 ounces at the most of the pesto. 2 I would definitely double the amount of the salmon laye..."

"I agree! This was really easy and yummy! I used my food processor to get that fine chop(I just pulsed about 1 1/2 cups of medium chop at a time..a couple of short pulses and a couple that were a little longer- the texture was perfect. I suggest serving it slightly warm with vanilla bean ice cream!"

"OMG!!!! This meatloaf actually drew a COMPLIMENT from my PICKY boyfriend! I just made this last night and I'll never use any other recipe or "wing it" again! We use deer meat for all of our red meat dishes, so, I figure that helped out the fat content to some degree. I could hardly wait to eat my sandwich at lunch today! I told my co-workers a..."

"OOPS! Forgot to add my comments! We loved this! It made a great quick meal. 10 minutes was nowhere near long enough baking time though. I have a convection oven and after about 15 munutes I shut the fan off and let them continue to cook while I finished the salad and set the table. All in all, I'd say they baked about 20 minutes. I just kept c..."

"This chicken is wonderful! Word of caution: don't use your leftover flour mixture and buttermilk for pan gravy unless you like really spicy food!! I grew up having milk/pan gravy whenever we had fried chicken, so I figured I would use the leftover ingredients...Well whooooeee!! it was warm to the tastebuds!! Maybe if you want some of the flavor,..."

"This recipe was good- make sure you have the salsa on the side, I think it makes the flavor complete. It certainly didin't take me 3 hours to prep...i used my food processor though (in stages. I found that the amount of black beans listed would only make enough for 6 tortillas, though. I made this recipe and the one with ham, green chiles and g..."
