Reviewed Make Your Own Cake Mix

"I was looking for a recipe to use pecans in and I thought I might put them in a cake. I found this recipe and started to assemble it, then realized I did not have enough white flour so I subbed 1/2 whole wheat. I also added 2 small boxes of cook and serve vanilla pudding to the mix and subbed canola oil for the shortening. Next, I added very finely..."

Reviewed Quiche in a Bag (Oamc-Freezer Cooking)

"This recipe is a keeper. It is not exactly like a regular quiche, but you don't have to mess with a pie crust and it is very easy to assemble even if you don't freeze it. I just threw a bunch of leftovers in mine. I had chicken taco meat I had mixed with brown rice and a white cheese sauce that I used in place of the 1 cup of meat. I skipped the ta..."

    Reviewed Japanese Mum's Chicken

"I am making this in my crock pot right now. I was out of sugar so I substituted honey instead. I also had no hot pepper so I used some red pepper in its place, just a bit. I am also using tamari sauce instead of soy. I am also using my crock pot, but not doubling the recipe because I cook for one and my crock pot is small. Can't wait till it's done..."

Reviewed White Lasagne With Parmigiano Besciamella (Lasagne in Bianco )

"I just made this. I used barilla no- boil lasagne noodles and I skipped the wine, substituted onions for shallots and added chopped spinach and 4 cloves chopped garlic to the sauce as well as a bag on coarsly chopped califonia blend veggies. I also added more cheese. It is very good. Mushrooms would have been good too!"

Reviewed Wholesome Homemade Honey Whole Wheat Bread

"I just made this bread and it is very good. I added 1 cup of flax meal, 1/2 cup wheat germ and 1/4 cup of whole golden flax seeds. The only mistake I made was in misreading the flour amounts. I used 6 cups white flour and 4 cups whole and it still came out pretty good.
I froze 2 loaves of the dough and made a dozen rolls and one loaf."
