I am Dominican, living in Fort Lauderdale but originally from NYC.
My pic is a plate of a typical Dominican Saturday/Sunday Brunch. It contains mashed plantains, mashed yucca, fried white Dominican cheese, a fried over medium egg, queso geo (a yellow Dominican cheese) and grilled red onions..Trust me- it is delcious and my mouth is watering as I type!!! I LOVE FOOD : )
