I live, love, cook and create in Italy. Contrary to popular belief, that doesn't signify complete happiness. But it does come pretty close in terms of culinary happiness. If the international food world could be divided into parts, like a body, then surely Italy would be the heart.
Pasta. Vegetables in any way, shape or form. Bacon. Big shrimp. Little shrimp. Medium shrimp. Rare steak. Crusty bread. Divine desserts, complicated and creamy. Butter in all of the above. Wine with all of the above. Seasonal fruit to follow.
