    My Journal

I have no recent activity to share.

    About Me

I'm a Central Texas high school librarian and a former home ec teacher. Love to read (of course) and cook and eat. My pet peeve isn't really a peeve at all---it's my sweet Berkeley, a black and white cocker spaniel. I also love to travel and learn about other cultures and the foods they enjoy. Recently went to Japan and came home fish- and sushi-hungry. Have a fairly large collection of recipe books but can't say which are my all-time favorites. It depends on what I'm looking for at a particular time. I have a feeling Recipezaar is going to turn out to be my all-time favorite!

    Favorite Foods

I like Mexican, Asian, Southwestern, and Southern but that may be because those are ones I'm most familiar with. Of course, the Indian curry I've eaten was wonderful, as were the Hungarian soups. While living in Germany I was able to do some traveling and enjoyed special treats in Belgium, France, Switzerland, and Poland (as well as in Germany). Actually, I love food.
