    About Me

    I am 21 years old, living in Wilmington, NC during the summers and Chapel Hill, NC during the school year where I attend nursing school (but graduate in May!!). I have been cooking since I was old enough to walk :) My mom has always encouraged me to experiment in the kitchen. The first food I ever baked was bread in a mini kids kitchen- and I was hooked after that! My ALL TIME favorite cookbook is Land'O Lakes- it has not only excellent recipes... but beautiful big pictures (I am very visual). Passions? running, nursing, Zech, and cooking! Pet peeves? people helping me in the kitchen (I like things done my way!), mom telling me to "add ALL the butter!" or "add ALL the sugar!" (I make it healthy... it still tastes good!) When I have free time, I really enjoy traveling and spending time with family!

    Favorite Foods

    I love to cook chicken and seafood recipies. I despise cooking burger, bacon, and anything else that splatters on me. I'm famous in my family for my shrimp stir fry and coccunut cream pie- mmm! My favorite restaurant would have to be Bone Fish. It's elegant yet simple, superior presentation yet not flashy, and serves seafood (my favorite!)
