"I was like a few of you - hesitant about the amount of flour (I mean - who writes 1 3/4 flour and then 2 tablespoons of flour?). About Me

I was never allowed to cook at home.  My Mum was afraid I'd make a mess (she's sort of right there <lol>).  I moved out on my own at 18 - and I had to learn how to cook - due to lack of money - and also I'm a Type 1 diabetic since I was a wee thing - so eating healthy is very important to me.

I didn't blossom into a good cook until about 10 years later - when I realised beer and wine COULD be put into food and not just my body.  I've never looked back since then.

I work as a diabetic mentor - and help folks with diabetes all over the world.  I love to experiment with cooking - trying my own recipes - adapting ones I find (of course giving credit to the cook always) - I just love to share my love of good food - that is not mass prepared.

You can find my scribbles at Diabetes1.org - as well as on Facebook/Twitter.  You name it - where ever a diabetic needs assistance in both cooking / health / humour area - I'm there - with my skin tight suit on (it's really getting tight - darn menopause weight gain).

    Here's to good cooking!!!
