"A good recipe. You MUST use Boston Style beans! We made it the first time with regular Bush's and it was a totally different dish. The Boston Style are harder to find, but the molasses that is in them is imperative. I especially like the texture of the apples - a good contrast to the cooked beans. My only disappointment when making this was ..."

"There is no need to change a darn thing about this recipe. It is SO delicious! I am required to make it for every picnic or family get-together for dessert. It's easy to throw together and serves a crowd. I think it's better after a day or 2 in the fridge too. Just perfect!"

    Reviewed Braised Celery
     |  By FightingwithFood

"This was fantastic! I used chicken broth, as I don't keep beef stock on hand. I'm sure it's a bit richer with beef stock. In any case, I loved it. I expected a stronger celery flavor as with raw celery, but it was more muted with the braise. I will definitely use this recipe again."

Reviewed Easy Cranberry and Apple Cake
     |  (2 people found this helpful) |  By FightingwithFood

"This was good. I baked it a day ahead and it still served well. The cake itself was very moist. The only complaint I have is that the tartness of the cranberries was only slightly balanced by the apple (I used a Fuji because I was afraid a Granny Smith would totally kill any sweetness, so I made a simple vanilla glaze with powdered sugar, orang ..."

"Absolutely awesome! It was so easy, HEALTHY, and very satisfying. I made some pasta (mini shells so that my husband could add a little to his and he liked that better, but I enjoyed it just as written. Wonderful with homemade biscuits or garlic bread!"

"I was incredibly skeptical when I mixed the batter in with the brown sugar/water/cocoa mixture. It just seemed like the liquid would just cook over. It actually turned into a rich, decadent pudding! I originally used this to get rid of a can of cherry pie filling, but it's going on my regular dessert rotation. This was awesome and is still gett..."

"The measurements are definitely confusing! I found them to be far too heavy for a traditional muffin and a bit tasteless - except when I bit into a blueberry."

"What a yummy bread! I skipped the step of grinding the oats and left them whole. I baked at 350 for about 30 minutes and the bread did gain some volume. It was perfectly moist - even the picky hubby liked it. I'll definitely try this again with cinnamon and raisins or apple chunks!"
