"Made this tonight for my family who loved it. I "low" cooked it for 6.5 hours.....had to because we went to the movies. All turned out fine, and there was no need for knife as the meat was fork tender. I always read the comments to get my feel for the recipe and to listen to suggestions that I might like to use. Here are a few of my tweaks.... ..."

I live and work in So. Cal. I'm so happy that I found The 'Zaar community because it has done nothing but improve the way I cook and entertain. Thank you everyone!!!!
Passions: cooking and trying new recipes, planning vacations....if I ever take one, Karaoke, teaching, reading, collecting recipes on the 'Zaar.
My little motto......
"Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming.....WOW, What A Ride!!!!"
Anything Chocolate is a favorite.
I love my sweets but I also love other kinds of foods as well. I would like to think that I am adventurous and when I travel to new places I'll try the local cuisine. Realistically, I could get these foods here in my own town but when you are right where peoples' childhood memories are intertwined with their comfort food, that is just what I am looking for. I was in Philly recently and had my fill of Cheese Steak sandwiches, pretzels and Tastykakes (I am a West Coaster so Tastykakes were new to me!!) The southern cooking in Nashville and in Huntsville was out of this world!! Fried Okra, Fried Chicken, Green Beans and the Biscuits!!! Loved the Banana Pudding too!! My family is from Hawaii so Spam Musubi, Portuguese Sausage, Saimin, Loco Moco, any Plate Lunch special, Shave Ice and Guava Juice are just SOME of my favorites.
I am currently on a Sushi kick and I am always looking for a fun place to try. I love the conveyor belt sushi...where it just comes by your table and you just pull it off of the moving platform. Soooo fun!!!
I am always looking for great low carb recipes also. Send them my way if you have a good one!!!
