Reviewed Frank's Redhot Buffalo Chicken Dip
"Made with the original Franks Hot Sauce, this is the only Buffalo Chicken Dip I've every really liked. And it's so easy! I enjoy it with tortilla chips or celery sticks, but to step up the presentation for a more formal affair you can use the completed dip to fill mini fillo pastry shells (then bake the filled shells as directed). Thanks for pos..."

Reviewed Kittencal's Taco Seasoning Mix
"This is perfect. I never have to worry with reading thorough all the unpronounceable ingredients on the back of a packet of taco seasoning mix again! I've made and used this several times now for great flavor on beef tacos, burritos and chimichangas. I make about 3 times the amount and store in a pint mason jar."

I grew up in rural east Texas before being transplanted to the beautiful state of Kentucky at the age of 17....so for the most part, my 'hard drive' is programmed for rich, southern style food. Recipes for things like mashed potatoes, cream gravy, pot roast, chicken fried steak and chili are burned in to my DNA!! I also receive an incredible amount of joy from feeding others....another trait I attribute to my southern roots.
I love good food, no matter what the style or particular ingredients.....but as a general rule, my most favorite foods are full of fire......Tex-Mex, Thai, anything with lots of flavor and plenty of heat. I will say that being involved with Zaar, and in particular the World Tour 5, has really broadened my culinary horizons and gotten me out of my small little 'kitchen box'! I've prepared so many new and wonderful dishes and now things that once may have seemed too exotic or complex are part of my regular diet!
I garden in the summer (and just last year learned to can) and I find a divine pleasure in preparing meals from my homegrown, organic veggies and herbs.
