Reviewed Mantequilla De Ajo Casera (Guatemalan Homemade Garlic Butter)
"Decided to use this flavorsome butter to make a garlic bread. Used a ciabatta bread that was a day old and it came out super appetizing! My family ate every crumb! Next time I may use olive oil for a portion of the butter to see if it gives an extra flavor element and healthiness to the bread. As is is perfect though. I did add extra parsley th..."

Reviewed Apple & Leek Stuffed Pork Tenderloin from Eating Well
"Nice recipe and elegant dish and the best part is that the pork came out super moist. Great on the calories and the family enjoyed it. I did need to correct the sauce as it was a bit sweet and a little strong on the apple tartness taste. I added a bit of water, splash of white wine and added some cream to cut the cidery taste, other than that ..."

Reviewed Ella Bella’s Healthy Summer Squash Bread
"This is a very nice bread and one I will place on my "keeper" files. Very moist and hits the mark on flavor! I did though forget to add the golden raisins (which I was very upset about), but will add them the next time which will be very soon because I have an extra summer squash. Thank you MoreWithLessMom for sharing such a delicious bread. Ma..."

I've loved to cook for as long as I can remember. This is amazing - why - because I was one of the finickiest kids growing up. Hated to eat and didn't like much of anything, except for, of course anything that contained sugar. I think my interest peaked from looking at food magazines and cooking shows by Julia Child and the Galloping Gourmet. Watching my mom make her Portuguese sweet bread (masa sovada), and her biscoitos (portuguese cookies) also kept my creative cooking juices flowing. From then on I was transformed. I love cooking and baking just about everything from every culture. I just wish I had more time in the day to cook and cook and cook and cook.
My favorite things to cook are anything Christmas. Christmas cookies, Christmas dinner, etc., etc., it's soo comforting. And, oh yeah, anything seafood, it's my favorite to eat.
I think my roasted turkey or chicken and its' gravy is what I make best. I make it how my mother used to with an Americanized twist. My kids and husband compare it against everyone else's and they always say mine is the best. Apple pies are my forte as well. Just thinking about it makes my mouth water. It's almost 11:00 pm, but if it wasn't for work tomorrow, I think I'd whip-up a pie.
