"Maybe I'm the last to hear but I thought the candied ginger was an awesome addition to oatmeal.I used more since I LOVE ginger. Easy recipe to vary to your liking. I omitted the raisins and saved some raw apple for the garnish along with some pomegranate seeds and frozen blueberries. Combo worked well."
"Very moist and very tasty. Like other reviewers, I used 2 whole eggs. Also subbed corn syrup for maple syrup as real maple syrup is just too expensive, Hubby said to put in on the "make again" list"
"This recipe comes from 175 Essential Slow Cooker Classics by Judith Finlayson. The recipe says you can also use chicken thighs and cook for 6 hours on low or 3 hours on high and you can omit the browning step."
"Delicious. I doubled both garlic and ginger because you can never have too much IMHO and reduced the oil to 1 T and this is a keeper. Thanks for sharing"
"This was an excellent and easy soup. The fresh ginger and the peanut flavor was a delicious combination and you could certainly add more ginger if you were a fan (which I am) The only addition I made was a tsp of sambal oeleck for a bit of heat."
