"Shame on you for keeping this a secret for so long! ;= This is a real gem! I made with the potatoes instead of the dumplings. Used a combination of Penzey's paprika, the sweet and the hot and it was so tasty. When I read the recipe I thought it was missing tomatoes or tomatoe paste, but I was wrong . . . perfect as written, just be sure..."

"Made these with a little revision . . . was unable to find candied cherries this time of year so instead added crushed macadamia nuts and few chocolate chips. Flavor was wonderful however I don't think I pressed it down hard enough before baking . . . it didn't hold together very well. Very flavorful!"

"Turned out great! Made a couple changes to the recipe . . . converted the recipe to use part sourdough starter and part instant yeast. Also used cheddar cheese instead of parmesan. Shaped the loaf into a baguette and baked on my baguette pan. Very yummy! Only baked one loaf, put the rest of the dough in the fridge and will use in the ..."

"Just mixed this up for guest arriving tomorrow night . . . followed your recipe with the exception added a healthy teaspoon of horseradish instead of the red pepper. Think next time I'll also add some dill. Very Yummy!"

"Followed the recipe exactly (with the exception of poppy seeds and served with Recipe #265727. It had a moist quick bread texture. Not sure if it was the tomatoes I used or what but it was a little bland for our taste. Wonder what some sun dried tomatoes might add to it."

"We loved it . . . so sweet and creamy! Did not have any shallots, so used a little sweet onion, guess I'll just have to make it again! :-D The hardest part is cutting from the cob. Thanks for sharing"

"Made your recipe for the Variety Is The Spice of Life event. Because I changed much of the recipe do not feel it's fair to rate it with stars. I used your formula plus blue cheese and toasted walnuts, however I used my method, which is cold fermentation. I used instant yeast and mixed it in with the flour and salt then added cold water and k..."

"Great recipe . . we thoroughly enjoyed! Cut the recipe in half (3 eggs and made a couple substitutions. Used bacon bits I'd frozen and minced sweet peppers (skipped the frying step. Instead of milk used a couple tablespoons low fat cottage cheese, and a bit of parmesan with the cheddar!"
