    About Me

    My chief passions include my hubby, photography, writing, all things Internet, graphic design, scrapbooking, cooking, baking,  gardening and animals. I share my home with one man, one mother-in-law, two dogs and two cats. We're the House O'Hair.

    I've been messing with computers since 1987 and if I had to choose between computers and all my other hobbies, I'm afraid computers would win out. My husband and I have met and become friends with some of the greatest people online!

    Favorite Foods

    Though my usual cooking usually leans toward quick-to-fix or one-pot meals, I make a mean spaghetti sauce and a tasty pesto pork tenderloin roast. I love beans, too, and every few months I'll make a couple stockpots full of smoked turkey and beans so I can freeze leftovers for easy meals later.

    My favorite foods are pizza, Asian food (especially pad Thai, and those Americanized goodies like General Tso's chicken and crab rangoon), just about any Italian food, and homemade macaroni and cheese. Basically, if it's got starch or is batter-dipped and deep fried, I like it!

    Sweets are my downfall. I don't bake sweets often because we'd eat it all up, and too quickly at that! Given the choice of cooking a meal or grabbing a muffin off the counter, I'd go for the muffin every time. ;)

    My husband and I are both dieting, though, so we're always on the prowl for great-tasting foods that are low in calories and fat. That's why I'm looking forward to participating at Recipezaar.

    I enjoy cooking more than I used to, especially since we remodeled our kitchen and I finally got a dishwasher. It's not so bad dirtying all those pots and pans now that I don't have to do them by hand! LOL
