    About Me

Dear Fellow Recipezaarniks -- I'm a mom; a PR consultant for social change organizations; an active member of our religious community; a decent wife and an aspiring chef.

I keep kosher and will try just about anything that meets my kosher standards ... I'm always on the lookout for a novel way to prepare chicken, and for additions to my repertoire of items which contain neither meat nor milk and can thus be prepared for any meal.

Recipezaar is always my first stop when I'm in a culinary rut!

    Favorite Foods

I love making lasagna as well as trying unconventional (read: from the North) Italian recipes; southern cuisine; fruit-based desserts; distinctive salads; and foods that require no cooking: red grapes, some crusty bread and chunk of Brie!

I like pouring a lot of effort into making one or two standout dishes -- it can even be a beverage, like pomegranate limeade -- that everyone will love. My husband likes my original honey garlic chicken that's browned in a ginger/shallots/toasted sesame oil concoction, but most others like my macaroni-and-cheese; my salmon croquettes and my desserts.
