"This was good- not really what I expected. These are more like a cheesecake swirl in the batter- my filling was pretty runny because I softened the cream cheese, so it just kind of sat on top and swirled into the batter a little. They were tasty, however. I drizzled chocolate over the top to make them look pretty as they were for a birthday. And y..."

"Just the recipe I was looking for! Subbed mostly applesauce for oil, used bakers wheat bran, and used half plain yogurt and half milk for the buttermilk. I'm not always a raisin lover, but it goes great in these with the cinnamon. Nice soft texture and flavor. I might be making these every day!"

"I am not going to rate this, because I made it a little differently, as suggested by another reviewer. I doubled the hunan sauce (not the marinade, though, since I was adding veggies. We did not like it like that at all, way too spicy for us all and not a very good flavor, either. So be careful before adding the whole amount of chili paste. M..."

"I was so happy with how well this turned out, as I made it for my son's birthday party for lots of guests. I was told to keep this recipe! It tastes just like a whoopie pie. The filling is perfect, not excessively sweet, and the cake is moist and dense, like a whoopie pie. The only thing I changed was I used 3/4 c plain yogurt 1/2 c milk for..."

"I am not going to star this because my family does not like lentils much, so I am sure that influenced their opinion of this. So if you are making this, make sure your family likes them, or you will have a ton of it leftover like I do and will be forcing them to eat it for lunch for the next week. I didn't think it was too bad, and the flavors w..."

"This rating is just for the gravy portion of the recipe- I used it to make a casserole version, but almost the same ingredients. I was looking for a homemade non-canned sauce, and this was just what I was looking for. It was very tasty, and I even left out the butter."

"Very messy but tasty. I popped 1/2 c popcorn in my air popper and it made the perfect amount. I also microwaved the caramel, first melting the butter then adding the sugars and heating more until bubbling."

"Delicious. I did not use apples or veggies, just a bit of onion powder, and used water bullion for the broth. I made a half recipe and it fed 5 of us (although they liked it so much, they fought over the last piece. I served with turkey gravy, which was good, but it was very flavorful by itself as well. I made it a little too wet and it didn..."

"I made these in my new donut maker (looks like a waffle iron. These have been my favorite plain recipe so far. I always sub buttermilk with plain yogurt and milk, so for this I used 1/2 c milk and 1/4 c plain yogurt. Nutmeg is subtle and adds a nice flavor. I have also cut the recipe in half so I am not making so many temptations."

"Good muffins- not too sweet, but good with butter. I used half oil, half applesauce, as well as 1/2 c white wheat flour, and still very nice texture. I also added the tsp of cinnamon as recommended by others. Nice way to use some starter!"
