    About Me

    I am kinda hard to describe, lol. I am a 17 year old metalhead who just got my own apartment in the summer. I was kinda thrown out into the middle of life here so I am pretty much learning to run a house, graduate, and parent myself at the same time; thus, the searching for recipes part.
    I'm not like most teens and I know that flailing and headbanging alone isn't going to make me healthy (unfortunately it seems to work for my boyfriend, lol), so I like to cook healthy. In fact finding and turning unhealthy recipes into healthy recipes has become kind of a game for me; so that's why I'm posting the ones that work, so you can try them too.
    I have a couple odd preferences; I am somewhat allergic to aspartame, and I refuse to drink cow milk because I hate the taste. I also think eggnog is weird and that a drink that tastes like bananas isn't very Christmassy.
    I am half German and half Polish and thus want to start cooking with a little cultural influence, that will probably start to happen once I figure out how to cook a bit better. :]
    Till then, I will try to keep posting what I do have success on.

    Favorite Foods

    Of course some of my favorites do clash with my healthy motto; but you can't lie about favorites and these are honestly what I'd rather have if they had half the fat, lol.

    Almond cookies, udon noodles, miso soup, chinese food, popcorn, hawaiian pizza, schnitzel, sausage and kraut, noodle kugel, muffins, pancakes, waffles, mousse, hot chocolate, lattes, biscotti, chocolate (not the cheap kind), rice, honey garlic and sweet and sour sauce, chicken, soy milk, blue raspberry koolaid, hot tang, lava and toffee cakes, cabbage rolls, stuffing, sweet potatoes and mashed potatoes, fried bananas, peanut butter cups, rice chips, potato chips (especially homemade), fast food, tapioca and rice pudding, bagels, soft pretzels and dried papaya.
