    About Me

My name was Grandmaof1 for 3 years.

Recipes with a submitted date earlier than February 10, 2004 (or recipes with recipe number less than 94448) are recipes that I adopted in February 2005 when we were given the opportunity to adopt recipes from the Recipezaar account. I tried to adopt recipes that were similar to recipes that I have and use, were for foods I enjoy, or sounded like something I would enjoy.

As far as reviews are concerned, I am far from a perfect cook. If a recipe does not turn out for me, I usually assume I did something wrong. I may try it again, but usually not. For that reason, I only review recipes that I have enjoyed. Your tastes may not be the same as mine--that doesn't make a recipe bad!

    Favorite Foods

I am not a food snob; quite the opposite. My favorite foods are simple, homestyle meals and comfort foods--mostly simple food simply prepared. Everyone should eat the kinds of food they enjoy or need to eat for their particular needs and resources (including time), and not impose those standards on others. If you are looking for highly spiced or exotic foods, you probably need to check out someone else's recipes.
