An Island in the Pacific, British Columbia
I am a retired antiques dealer, I had my own shop for about 8 years. I also held classes in "Antiques 101" at the Continuing Education Centre. We left the big city to move to a very small island, also leaving behind a large house, which we traded for a small house & a large yard. I share my life with DH who is affectionately known as "Pencil Boy" (retired draftsman), we have one cat.
We seem to be addicted to renovating houses & gardens, we are working on house #5. When we're not working on our house or garden, we can be found out riding our motorcycle or in the garden enjoying a glass of wine. I love gardening, renovating, sewing, & of course cooking.
Our motto is:
A small house
A large garden
A few good friends
Many good books
We love almost all foods & are mostly willing to try new things. We eat pretty healthy, but don't diet. Our favorites are curries, seafood, really good chocolate, chicken, along with lots of veggies. We could eat appetizers for dinner every night.
We have finally bought our first BBQ & are now making up for lost time. We love rotisserie chicken & roasts. We also grill alot of fish & veggies.
Our favouite restaurant is Vij's in Vancouver, one of the best Indian restaurants anywhere.
Unfortunately it's now 2 ferry rides & about 4 hours travel away. Luckily Vij is smart enough to offer his fantastic food in take out - boil in bag, which we buy a huge amount for the freezer.
