Hey, everybody! We have a big family and each of my four sons enjoy lots of good food! I love most any Southern Living recipes, like most TOH recipes, and strongly rely on Recipezaar as I experiment and try new foods. I'm a big fan of OAMC and like to make double and freeze one for busy nights we eat at home. The best cook I've ever known was my Grandma who made the best version of anything she cooked which was mainly fried chicken, salads, etc. My birthday meant always getting to choose my favorite cake -- orange chiffon!
My passion would probably be baking and sweets with yeast breads being new and fun for me. I make a mean homemade pizza fashioned after a local longtime pizza in town and I love to make cinnamon rolls. They are always after me to make chicken fried steak or biscuits and gravy. We are not into casseroles or leftovers for the most part! My husband loves to grill and handle the meat which suits me to a T since that's my least favorite part of cooking and we have recently tackled grilling ribs. We love to eat out and normally choose one of the following: Carabba's for Italian; a local restaurant, White River Fish Market for seafood; Johnnie's or Harden's for burgers; Schlotzky's for sandwiches which I also make at home; Marble Slab Creamery for ice cream! My husband also brings dinners home sometime since he travels with work and some favorites are "Wino" which is a delicious Chinese concoction in Ft. Smith, BBQ from Wildhorse BBQ, chicken from AQ in Springdale and ribs from Lovera's in Krebs or Chick and Millie's in Ponca City.
