I'm an ex-studant now working in my early 20s. I love cooking - there's pretty much nothing I won't try making, but like everything in life I tend to have to avoid the more expensive things (which is pretty much all the best ingredients!) unless it's a relatively special occasion. Although I enjoy flavour, I tend to shy away from spices as I have a habbit of ruining my dishes with over zelous sprinkling, so most of my dishes rely more on well chosen ingredients to provide the flavour than actual added herbs etc.
I'd like to say that my tastes span all nations and cultures, but that's what everybody says and it's usually not true!
I will say that I love all things fried and I especialy love chinese when going out. Otherwise, I cook and eat everything. Not a massive fan of fish, although if cooked well then I do enjoy it.
Pork is probably my favourite meat, but again it depends on the meal type and situation.
Rice is my favourite carb, followed closely by pasta and potato joint. And then bread. I like bread, but not as much as a good steaming portion of rice smothered with sweat and sour pork!!
