    About Me

    Hello from the Willamette Valley in Oregon, truly a land of milk and honey.

    Cooking is my favorite hobby, but as I still work full time, meals must taste great and be relatively healthy, but be quick to fix. There is not a lot of time for complicated, time-consuming recipes. I like to keep things simple while maintaining top flavor. Have recently re-discovered my big food processor and am enjoying letting it speed up the prep work wherever possible.

    Favorite Foods

    Fresh vegetables are at the top of my list, though I like most foods. I like Asian, Mexican and Mediterranean flavors very much, but also have fondness for home-cooked specialties from every European country as I grew-up in a multi-ethnic neighborhood. I also like "retro" foods like Mom and Grandma used to make, and I collect old and historical cookbooks. I often alter recipes to reduce fat, add whole grains, or make other healthful changes.

    This is a lot of fun. Thanks, Recipezaar, and thanks to all you fine chefs all over the world for sharing your recipes and feedback. Receiving a recipe review from someone halfway around the world really makes my day.
