"This was not a hit with us. The meat mixture is much too sweet, due to the sloppy joe sauce. It loses the "taco" taste I was looking for. We like sloppy joes and we like tacos, but apparently not together. I'm giving this three stars, though, because I'm pretty sure this would be a hit with kids."

"This was just FABULOUS! The meat was very tender and the flavors melded very well. This just may replace my current recipe for Pepper Steak. I used red, green and yellow peppers, so it made lovely presentation as well. Just outstanding!"

"This was a complete miss for us. The sauce didn't "stick" to the chicken and was too mildly seasoned to give much flavor. It wasn't terrible, but it didn't impress us either."

"The cake part of this recipe was absolutely fabulous! Moist and very flavorful and there was nothing "off" about the flavor. However I could smell the ketchup in the icing and it overwhelmed the chocolate. I couldn't get past smell in order to eat more than one piece. I will make this again, but will omit the ketchup in the frosting."

"I used the maximum amount of cocoa and while it IS delicious, it's more of a milk chocolate flavor than I had wanted. I whipped mine for over 5 minutes in order to get a lighter consistency. This made more than enough to frost 24 cupcakes. This also has no glossiness to it, but was nonetheless very tasty!"

"My boyfriend really liked this, and I enjoyed the addition of the fresh mushrooms. It had a lovely crust on it and good flavor. I didn't change my dislike of meatloaf, which I believe is more a consistency issue than a taste issue. However there are a LOT of steps to this and it too long to put together for me to go out of my way to make it again."

"This was my first taste of quinoa and I wasn't sure what to expect. The taste and consistency are reminiscent of brown rice. I added 5 small fresh basil leaves, 1 stalk of celery, and 1/2 of a green pepper, all minced. I didn't have any peas, so I used half a bag of frozen peas and carrots. We really enjoyed trying this new (to us grain! I served..."

"These ARE quite good and we enjoyed them. However I was looking for a dupe for the Aretha Frankenstein's waffle & pancake mix, and this isn't quite it. Something is missing, and I think it may be cornmeal. If you aren't looking for a specific taste, this is a great go-to waffle recipe!"

"I made a different recipe that turned out so poorly that I had to throw the batch away. I turned to this recipe instead and it turned out perfectly! I used it to frost Red Velvet Cupcakes. I did follow other reviewers' suggestion and doubled the amount of cream cheese, since I love a stronger cream cheese flavor. Highly recommended! I'm so ..."

"Excellent flavor! However, I doubled the sauce and it still wasn't enough. Next time I'll quadruple it. I added the chicken back to the sauce to simmer for a few minutes and it was wonderful! I did add a bit of garlic powder to the flour, and some minced garlic to the sauce because I love the flavor combination of lemon and garlic. Definitely will..."
