Shared Recipe Zesty Wedge Salad
"I've never really tried a wedge salad before, and I'm loving it! Adapted from another Publix recipe, it's full of flavor and nothing like the bland image I had in my mind of a wedge salad! Sofrito is a delicious combination of onions, tomatoes, garlic and peppers in olive oil. I've just discovered this Hispanic staple, but I'll be using it LOT now!"

Shared Recipe Mojo Pork Chili
"Adapted from a Publix recipe, this is wonderful alternative to traditional chili. I serve this in either sourdough or pumpernickel bread bowls. The Zesty Wedge Salad is a perfect accompaniment to this dish. This goes together very quickly and is quite filling. I'm an Arkansas native but spent my teen-aged years in Memphis. I married a Marine when I was 17, and we have four wonderful sons. We divorced after 17 years, and my sons are now all grown. In May of 2006, I was blessed with a precious grandson, Mateo. I still love to try, and create, new recipes! These days I am cooking for just two, me and my boyfriend Jesse, which is challenging for me. I LOVE music, reading and bargain hunting. For fun, I love to play board games, but I don't get much of an opportunity since all my playing partners left home! I am defintely an electronic junkie as well. I just love getting new toys!
Macaroni and cheese and any dish with nuts in it! I LOVE watching Rachael Ray on Food Network and have a few of her cookbooks, but more often than not, I revert to the tried and true recipes from my married years. My boys ask for my spaghetti and my enchiladas when they come home. At work, I'm often asked to bring my spinach dip, or a chocolate dessert called "Four-Layer Delight". My favorite restaurant? Hmmm when I have money, Macaroni Grill or The Melting Pot, but mostly I stick with Cracker Barrel! My favorite meal on the planet is my mom's fried round stead with milk gravy and rice. Heaven!

"This turned out even better than I had hoped! I served this over a bed of brown rice & quinoa (Uncle Ben's 8.5 oz ready to serve package). I used Campbell's Butternut Squash Bisque."
