The only deviation that I made was to add a tablespoon of lemon juice to the batter just before putting it in the oven....for that extra kick of lemon flavo..."

"This was great! I did not have sesame oil, so used my regular cooking oil, and it still taste wonderful. I liked the bit about frying onions, removing them from the wok, and then adding them later with the other veggies. Very auhentic...very good, indeed!! I shall definitely be making this again. Thank you for sharing."

Wow, I thought to myself....now I can make them any time without having to wait overnight for the batter to rise! I made them for breakfast today. They looked like jalebis but unfortunately did not quite taste like the authentic ones..."

I did, however, sneak in 1/4th of a cup each of rum and brandy, after chilling, and the result was most satisfactory! Must add that the taste of the eggnog the next day was far superior to that o..."

"I made these a few days ago....since I did not know how 'thin' the dough had to be rolled, I made them slightly thicker than I should have. It therefore took longer to cook. The next time I make them, I'll be wiser and make them really thin! Despite being thick rolls, they tasted good and went well with cheese. Haven't tried it with yogurt, though."

"Perfect name for these wonderful lemony cookies! The first batch got slightly brown at the bottom and that was my own mistake...kept them in the oven longer than required. They seemed uncooked and soft so I left them a wee bit longer. But I learnt that they turn crisp after cooling down. The second lot was perfect! I'll be making them again! Thank..."
