    Reviewed Herbed New Potatoes
     |  By jlns_6013422

"I was skeptical about how these potatoes would cook let alone getting done properly without burning. I shouldn't have worried because these were wonderful! I used Dutch yellow fingerling potatoes and a combo of dill, thyme and parsley and these were all gone at the end of Christmas dinner! It was great to have another "walk-away" recipe to let ..."

Reviewed Loin of Pork with Green Peppercorns
     |  By jlns_6013422

"Ina did it again with this deceptively simple recipe. I used a bone-in pork loin and it turned out fabulous: moist, tender, flavorful and the house smelled great while it was roasting. We usually have turkey for Christmas dinner but this may have just turned a page for us! Oh, and I turned out only to have one chix broth (14 oz. so I substitut ..."

    Reviewed Apple Cake "Tatin"
     |  By jlns_6013422

"How simple!! I used pears instead of apples and almond extract instead of vanilla and this cake turned out beautifully! I was interrupted between the carmel-over-the-fruit and cake mixing stages and returned to find a pie plate-sized piece of amber candy with pears in it -- but it melted while the cake baked so no problem. Everyone raved at how ..."
