    Reviewed Idaho Tacos

"Great idea!! Put this under the category of "why didn't I think of that?" Everyone loves this and I like to also add the shredded lettuce and onion that I'd serve with real tacos."

Reviewed Pork With Mustard Lime Vinaigrette

"I was just going to post this recipe, glad I looked first. I use beef, cooked the same way to medium rare...also great with leftover steak or roast. I always double the dressing and make it with parsley and usually serve with roasted potatoes tossed with the dressing...I also like to toss cherry tomatoes and/or green beens with it too...Sooo good! ..."

    Reviewed Frizzled Cabbage

"The whole family loves this. I replace 1/2 the butter with olive oil. I also cover it as it cooks. It's always yummy and always perfect. Thanks for posting this recipes. I've made it 2x in 2 weeks and plan to make it more."

Reviewed Roasted Acorn Squash With Spinach and Gruyere

"I think this recipe is a good start for us. I've never had acorn squash before so I didn't know what to expect. Now I know. Next time I'll kick up the flavor a little bit as I found this to be very bland. I think I'll season the actual squash better as well as add some garlic and onion to the spinach mixture. All in all it was still good and everyo..."

    Reviewed Asian Vinaigrette

"Made as directed and wouldn't change a thing. I think this is my new favorite dressing. It is right up there with my mom's Caesar dressing. The whole family enjoyed it too. I tossed it with mixed greens, tomato, carrot and cucumber. Thanks for the post."

Reviewed Peanut Butter and Pickle Sandwich

"I think I posted this same recipe but I called for pickle chips. I like sweet pickles. The bread and butter types, I think, are the best. This is one of my favorite sandwiches but the pickles are important. If you get an inferior pickle then it's just no good."

    Reviewed Pork Chops Yum-Yum

"Wonderful! I used veg broth 'cause it is what I had on hand. I also followed some suggestions and cooked them COVERED. They were not dry at all, which is a first for me. I used a BIG package of thin cut chops and tripled the recipe. I browned in a cast iron dutch oven and then piled them all in, poured over the sauce, covered and baked for 1 hour. ..."

    Reviewed Applebee's Oriental Dressing

"I've made this dressing many times. I'm sorry I've neglected to review it. We love this dressing and it is my go-to dressing when I make a side salad to any Asian inspired meal, whether Chinese or Japanese. I make a lot of both and this just sort of fits with all of it. I usually whip it up in my magic bullet and store the leftover in the fridge. I..."

    About Me

My husband, Mike, and I were married October 15 2005 after dating for 9 years. We are foster parents to two wonderful girls (6 and 9) who came into our home January 7th 2007 and we hope to adopt them once they become available.
UPDATE: We will be adopting the girls on March 7th 2008!!!! UPDATE: The adoption went through as planned and we are officially Mom (or Ma as the little one calls me) and Dad.

We are both transplants from the north and miss it every day. Its like a different world here, no matter how long we've been. We have a beautiful home tho, so we make the best of every day.

My family owns a metal fabrication shop. My parents, brother, husband and I work there. The website I put in the "My Web Site" spot is to Custom Metal. One day we may actually finnish the site LOL.

    Favorite Foods

I love trying new things. Whenever we go on vacation I try to do a little research into the local food. You really can learn alot about people by the food they eat.

I love Italian, Cuban, Jewish (Eastern European), Seafood (as long as it isn't fried) and Sushi. I'm a little picky on quality but I will try anything once, twice if I like it.
