Just a useless cowboy hermit that likes to cook and spend time with my dog and horses. Fishing,hunting,shooting and reading old books on historical events and military/war history. Atlanta Falcons fan un-official tailgate chef. (I get suckered into that, and it cuts into my beer drinking) I enjoy smoking, grilling and sausage making. I'm also getting more and more into canning and food storage (No, I'm not a prepper) altho I've always been into dehydrating foods and meat curing. Simply because my health and income is not what it once was and I find that doing this is a great way to save food and money. Plus I enjoy it. I also do most of my own home-butchering, having been a butcher, country meat locker employee and general critter raiser. It's something we've always done on my father's side of the family anyway. I like knowing what's in my food (Or NOT in my food, as the case may be) and knowing it's cleanly processed by me, for me, just the way I want. I also like to dabble in gardening,and grow most of my veggies, (Hence the interest in food storage) but find not so much fun in the weeding. ;) Oh lazy me. BEER IS THE ANSWER!
I'm a carnivore, 1st and foremost, but I also love a good salad, etc. I'm not so much of a fish or seafood person, but I can and do enjoy it at times, altho I like cooking it for others more than for myself. But give me my meat, beef esp. and I'm one happy cowboy.
