    About Me

I am retired, and cooking has been my passion for years. I am a misplaced southern woman, who never lost her love of the good ole soul food I grew up on. I am so glad to have found you, and get some of the recipes I had lost from years ago when my grandma cooked for all of us. It's fun to introduce my grandchildren, and friends to these tastie dishes.

    Favorite Foods

TOO MANY! I am famous for my fried corn, and greens. I also like to bake, my best being sweet potato pie, as well as chess pie. I love to make big pots of anything like beef vegatable soup, or potato soup. Big pots of stews, and beans, and chicken and dumplings. This is how my grandmother cooked for us, and I cooked for my five children, and now for my grandchildren. Since most are grown, and gone from home I find myself having to freeze a lot of things, or sharing with my friends.
