I'm a high school math, science, and art teacher. I love to spend time with my husband, family, and friends. I enjoy cooking, knitting, crocheting, sewing, reading, painting, home construction & repair, and working on cars.
My favorite dishes to cook are full of flavor and creativity. Sometimes, my family thinks that I take the experimentation in the kitchen too far - but they love to enjoy the results when they don't watch the creative process. There are two dishes that will live on in infamy among my family and friends - citrus pork chops and peas & tofu. Peas & tofu was my greatest culinary failure - my former roommate continues to remind me - even if it wasn't your best meal, it still beats peas & tofu. My former small group will always remember witnessing me walking around the kitchen muttering "It needs something... oh, hey! That's it!" and inventing a delicious pork chop recipe on the fly that I didn't get a chance to write down and haven't been able to ever make again.
