"I saw Ina make this on her show and it really works! What a great recipe! Thanks, Ina, for such innovative thinking!"

"This is a wonderful recipe. But I did want to let everyone know that they should cook the steaks to the desired degree of doneness before wrapping them in the pastry. I cooked mine to medium-rare, figuring the 12 minute bake time would finish cooking my husband's to medium-well, but it didn't. So, I had to nuke his steak - yuk! Just FYI. I ..."

"I made this recipe with chicken, since we're not big on fish. I used 3 skinless, boneless breasts and sliced them in half horizontally so they would cook faster. The oil is FABULOUS! I wanted it to have a milder flavor, so I used a mix of extra virgin olive oil and canola oil. For the oil, I used 1 tablespoon dried rosemary and omitted the fen ..."

"This is an excellent queso dip. It makes a huge quantity, so I had plenty to take to a gathering with leftovers for another day. I used Sierra Nevada Pale Ale b/c that's what I had on hand. I think the Corona might be too mild. Suggest Dos Equis dark or something more hearty. There was no noticeable beer character in the dip. I also added light s..."

"After looking at all the gingerbread man recipes on the site, I have chosen this one to make. I think it's a classic cookie recipe with no frills or odd ingredients, which is what I'm looking for. I especially liked the spicing, but since I'm not a huge clove fan, I'm cutting the ground cloves to 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon. Also, I plan to add 1/4 to 1/2..."

"Followed this recipe exactly. Used Yukon Gold potatoes and a well-seasoned cat iron skillet. Cooking times given in the recipe are way too long. Potatoes turned out very mushy. Try 10 min at step 3, 15-20 min at step 4 and 10 minutes at step 7. Very flavorful, but recipe needs tweaking as far as times are concerned. Be sure to use a well-seasoned..."

"This is a very good recipe, a bit different due to the spice mix. I used 8 oz. bacon and cider vinegar. Eggs gave it an interesting texture but could be omitted. Sauce was very flavorful and fairly easy to make. You could omit the green onions as well. Degree of difficulty: medium to easy. This recipe lends itself well to adaptation. Works as expe..."
