    About Me

    I came from a family of cookers, mom, dad, grandmother. As an adult, I have prided myself in knowing my way around the kitchen, and do the full range of old-fashioned cooking. To that I add the idea of eating as fresh and healthy as possible. I'm a retired grandfather, used to teach. Now use my time for reading, computer stuff, playing ragtime, and an occasional concert or meal out.

    Favorite Foods

    I have to confess a weakness for sandwiches of all kinds at lunch, slathered with mayo and Dijon mustard. And a tomato slice for health. But usually cereal, nuts and fruit, and soy milk are my favorite breakfast. Any well-prepared dinner will do.
